Ounasmetsä

This area near Ounasvaara hill gives you the feeling of the forest and represents the lower living costs at DAS. The distance to city center is about 3 kilometers and to University of Lapland about 3,5 kilometers. There is a bus stop near the Kuntotie buildings. Housing options vary from shared apartments to big two-room apartments. In the area there are four houses that have been renovated in 2000-2005. 

The area is good option for sporty students. Charming nature trails, ski tracks and a sports academy are only 300 meters away. Also if you wish to attend sporting events like ice hockey or volleyball it is the same 300 meters away.

Services in the Kuntotie area are for example laundry and drying room, ski waxing space and closets for storing skis, common sauna, club room, gym and study room.
